Frequently asked questions
Everything about how Signal-lite reads the market, issues signals and records results.
- Where does the market data come from?
- Bitcoin prices and candles come from the Coinbase Exchange public market data API. Forex and metals data comes from a live market data provider. Nothing on the platform is generated, simulated or replayed.
- How is a signal generated?
- Only closed candles are analysed. The engine requires a genuine close across the 20-period, 2 standard-deviation Bollinger middle band with matching MACD confirmation, then weighs independent trend, momentum and structure confirmations and applies quality gates such as RSI exhaustion and spread checks. If those do not agree, the engine reports NO SETUP instead of forcing a trade.
- Why do I sometimes see no signal at all?
- Because most of the time the market does not offer a qualified setup. A blank signal panel is the honest state, not a bug. Signals also pause entirely whenever the market feed is delayed or unavailable.
- How are wins and losses decided?
- Each signal stores its entry price and its exact expiry time. At expiry the closing price is fetched again from an independent closed 1-minute candle. A BUY wins if the expiry price is above entry, a SELL wins if it is below. The result is written once and never changed.
- Can more than one signal run on the same pair at once?
- No. One active signal per asset and per timeframe is enforced in the database itself. A new setup on that pair is only considered after the current one has expired and been verified.
- Is the published win rate real?
- Yes. It is calculated directly from the stored signals, including every loss. We never delete, hide or re-score a settled signal, and we never publish a target or projected accuracy.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Signal-lite runs in the browser. Signed-in members can enable browser notifications and an alert sound so new signals reach them while the tab is in the background.
- Is Signal-lite investment advice?
- No. Signal-lite is a technical analysis and monitoring tool. It does not execute trades, hold funds or provide personal financial advice. Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of losing your capital.
